K-12 Restorative School Practices - Changing Ways/Building Skills Newsletter
Focusing on promoting a safe, fair and responsive climate in Maine’s K-12 schools
From 1997 to 2010, the Changing Ways/Building Skills Newsletter was published twice a year by the Peace & Reconciliation Studies Program, University of Maine, Orono, with support from the Division of Family Health, Maine CDC, Department of Health and Human Services. This support was terminated in Fall 2010, thus ending the publication of this newsletter. For news about restorative school practices and restorative justice in Maine, see the electronic newsletter “Talking Peace” published by the Restorative Justice Project here. You can also subscribe to this e-newsletter at this site.
The past issues of Changing Ways below will provide a great deal of information about restorative school practices, including pieces written by educators using these practices, as well as articles on different aspects of conflict resolution education, bullying prevention, diversity issues, school climate and related topics. If you have any questions about these past issues of Changing Ways, contact Barb Blazej at barb@rjpmidcoast.org.
