Auction to Benefit Boardwalk
A Silent and Live Auction will be held on Saturday, May 21st to benefit the reconstruction of the Orono Bog Boardwalk. The event will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Keith Anderson Community House, 19 Bennoch Road in Orono. Auction items include a weekend getaway on the Maine Coast, an EPIC Sports gift certificate, a home brewing consultation, concert and theatre tickets, garden tours, beautiful Boardwalk photographs framed with recycled deck boards, hand-tied flies with a fly fishing chest pack, landscape and arboriculture consultations, and much, much more. A hand-made vintage quilt will be raffled during the event. Auctioneer John Cheney will be master of ceremonies for the live auction, and from 6:00 to 7:00pm Village to Village (Juan Condori on cello and guitar and Ellie May Shufro, violin) will provide music from around the world. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free; however donations will be gratefully accepted at the door.
