For new and transfer students starting in Fall 2013. Fall Welcome Weekend events include: New Student Orientation Meetings, The Maine Hello (Residence Hall Move-In),Community Info Fair, Parents and Family Receptions, President’s Annual Dinner on the Mall and Student Organizations Fair, Class Picture, Traditions Ceremony, Meeting for Out-of-State Students, Library Tours, Community Service Projects, Reality U!: The Sequel, Orono Village Association Tours, and many other on-campus and local events. Invitations and a tentative schedule for Fall Welcome Weekend will be sent to all accepted students in early August 2013.

You’re headed to the University of Maine! We look forward to seeing you at Fall Welcome Weekend, August 30th through September 2nd. You do not need to pre-register for this event, but please arrive on Friday, August 30, to check in at the Memorial Union either before or after moving into your residence hall (between 8am and 4pm). Family members are welcome to accompany their students to help them settle into their new homes and participate in some of the events planned on the first day of Fall Welcome Weekend on Friday, August 30th.

Meet Team Maine
During each Summer, Fall, and Spring Orientation, new students are greeted by a terrific group of students called Team Maine (Student Ambassadors, Dirigo Tour Guides, and Student Telecounseling Admissions Representatives). They will help you get settled and ready to go! Team Maine is here to assist you and your family, to answer your questions, and get you ready for the fall.
