Why should I give to the Onward Program?
Because you are the parent, partner, family member or friend of an Onward graduate or Onward student.
Because you care about assuring that our students have the resources to succeed!
What can I contribute to?
You can give to our scholarship fund. We give scholarships to deserving Onward students at the Graduate Recognition Ceremony each May.
You could consider a gift to an academic prize fund, such as our annual Reading Award, Writing Award, Science Prize, or Mathematics Prize. These prizes and awards recognize achievement and perseverance in Onward Program classes.
Our Jerry Ellis Scholarship Fund honors Onward’s former, long-time director. Your donation to that fund will help to build a lasting endowment.
A gift to our Discretionary Fund will allow us to underwrite needed learning disability testing for uninsured students or help students with small, unforeseen emergencies.
You can provide a gift in memory of a loved one or in honor of a University of Maine Onward graduate or a graduate-to-be!
