UMaine Students Participating in NYC Climate March, BDN Reports
The Bangor Daily News reported more than 100 University of Maine students are heading to New York City this weekend to take part in the People’s Climate March, which is being called the biggest demonstration in the history of the climate justice movement. “We are going because the climate crisis is the biggest challenge our world faces today, and it needs to be addressed, plain and simple,” said Michael Bailey, a UMaine student who helped organize the trip.
