The Boothbay Register carried an article about a new class, Social Construction of Motherhood, being offered in January at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center in Belfast. UMaine sociology professor Kim Huisman will teach the course, which stems from a grant Huisman received from the Maine Humanities Council to fund “The Midcoast Maine Mother-Daughter Project,” an exploration of mother-daughter relationships.
