The Mass High Tech website posted an article about the Blackstone Accelerates Growth (BAG) program, in which UMaine is involved, and $3 million in funding from the Blackstone Charitable Foundation to launch a new Innovation Hubs initiative in Bangor and Portland. The Maine Technology Institute, the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development and UMaine are part of the collaborative, which was created to add 10,000 skilled jobs and $664 million to the Maine economy over the next decade.
