Center on Aging ‘Boomer Bloggers’ Project Featured

The Boulder, Colo.-based Public News Service website has published a feature article on the Maine Boomer Reporting Corps, a University of Maine Center on Aging program that trains members of the center’s Encore Leadership Corps to become “Boomer Bloggers,” using new and older media to report news by and about baby boomers. The Knight Community Information Challenge provided $52,000 toward the project, overseen by the Center on Aging in conjunction with the Maine Community Foundation. UMaine’s New Media Department is providing training, along with expert media consultants and advisers.
