The Bangor Daily News published an article about the work of FoodCorps representative Genna Cherichello, who has overseen the growth of community gardens in the Rockland area. FoodCorps is a national program, administered in Maine by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, to introduce young people to healthful foods and gardening. Cherichello also is organizing cooking clubs for coastal-area schoolchildren.
