Science Website Posts UMaine Climate Change Article

The science website PhysOrg.com has posted a University of Maine news release about research into regional climate change in New Zealand and European glaciers during the preindustrial Holocene era. The release, which is about research by former University of Maine Climate Change Institute Ph.D. student Aaron Putnam and colleagues, and a publication about the research in the journal Nature Geoscience, makes the case that glacial melting in the European and Southern Alps 11,500 years ago was influenced more by regional climate variability than global climate change.
