Speakers at the event included UMaine President Paul Ferguson, University of Maine System Chancellor James Page, U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud, and the research institute’s director, Hemant Pendse, who also serves as the chair of UMaine’s Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering.
