Fried Column on R&D Bond
UMaine political scientist Amy Fried has a column in the Bangor Daily News about Maine Gov. Paul LePage’s recent veto of a bond for research and development. Fried noted that about 15 years ago, a bipartisan group of Maine leaders realized that R&D is critical to the state’s future and created the Maine Economic Improvement Fund , but LePage’s veto of the R&D bond abandoned Maine’s previous bipartisan consensus and vision of Maine’s future.
