The University of Maine System Board of Trustees has approved promotion and/or tenure for 29 University of Maine faculty members. The professors, who represent the broad spectrum of UMaine academic programs, were nominated by University of Maine President Paul Ferguson after an extensive process reviewing their work in teaching, research and community service.
“I am so very pleased to announce the most recent recipients of tenure and/or promotion,” says President Ferguson. “This extensive peer-review process is a fundamental strength of the Academy and is designed to ensure both our commitment to the professional development of our faculty and to the growth and success of the University of Maine. We should all be proud of the wonderful accomplishments and successes of these outstanding faculty members.”
