UMaine Blue Sky Plan Listening Sessions Continue Friday

To solicit input for UMaine’s strategic plan, a series of one-hour information-gathering sessions will take place over the next several weeks.  The Friday, January 27 session on university sustainability will be held at noon in 102 York Complex. The subject area is Interdisciplinary Research Initiative. For a complete list of topics, dates and locations, visit http://umaine.edu/blueskyplan/information-gathering-sessions/. Everyone in the university community is encouraged to attend and share their ideas for UMaine’s future. Participants are encouraged but not required to bring a written summary of their idea (one page or less) or submit it online at http://umaine.edu/blueskyplan. In preparing a summary, participants are encouraged to answer any or all of the following questions:

What do you see as a key area of distinction at UMaine?
What do you see as an opportunity or challenge that UMaine faces?
What solution do you propose?
How will this solution enable UMaine to achieve a new vision of institutional excellence and realize its position as a leading 21st century Land and Sea Grant University?
How would you assess whether this solution is successful?
