Engineer’s Daughter Wins Water Prize

A Bangor High School student whose father is on the UMaine engineering faculty has been named the Maine state winner of the U.S. Stockholm Junior Water Prize, according to a Bangor Daily News story. Leila Musavi is the daughter of Mohamad Musavi, the former chair of UMaine’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Department who will take over this summer as the associate dean for academics and research.
