A University of Phoenix student from North Carolina wrote a Maine Sunday Telegram column detailing his efforts to fulfill a class assignment by finding the location of Maine’s Apollo 11 moon rock, presented to Gov. Curtis in the early 1970s.  Prof. Neil Comins from the UMaine Dept. of Physics and Astronomy took a call from the student and helped direct him to the Maine State Museum, which has custody of the artifact.
