News Report Features UMaine AMC’s Safety Toe Cap Project
Channel 7 (WVII) on Thursday aired a report on how the University of Maine’s Advanced Manufacturing Center is helping Maine businesses with innovative manufacturing projects, including the recent design for a composite safety toe cap for an Auburn company that manufactures boot for firefighters. UMaine’s AEWC Advanced Structures and Composites Center created the composite resin for the boot inserts. AMC Director John Belding was interviewed for the story.
