Want to develop your ability to discuss important topics in today’s world in Spanish? This online course will provide ample exposure to terminology, causes, issues and ideologies, possible solutions. Students will have an opportunity to research the issue and area of the world of their choice in addition to general class discussion, regular reading, participation, and viewing of films/clips via Blackboard
Topics may include:
- Global warming and globalization
- Allergies and other health conditions caused by the environment
- Stress, depression, related conditions of accelerated living
- Extinction of animals and plants
- Drought, deforestation, oil spills, and other environmental disasters
- Transgenic food
- Junk food and chemicals in the home
