The Maine Water Institute is a program of the Senator George J. Mitchell Center. The Maine Water Resources Research Institute program is housed at the Institute along with other water-related research, outreach and education projects.
The Institute is the lead organizer of the Maine Water Conference, an annual event that is one of the largest conferences of its kind in Maine. The conference attracts over 350 water resource professionals from across the State including representatives from federal and state agencies, non-governmental organizations and academic institutions.
