WRRA National Competitive Grants Program 104g

FY24 Request for Proposals

USGS in cooperation with the National Institutes of Water Resources (NIWR) has released the annual request for proposals (RFP) under its National Competitive Grants Program (104g General, PFAS and Aquatic Invasive Species). Any investigator at an institution of higher learning is eligible to apply for these grants with research that focuses on priorities of regional and national importance. Application must be through the Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI) in their State or Territory. The Maine WRRI is located in the Mitchell Center at the University of Maine. Please see below links to the funding announcements for the three FY24 WRRA 104g programs and information on the Maine WRRI submission deadline.

All proposals for this program must be submitted to the Maine WRRI by Thursday, May 23, 2024. UMaine PIs must also follow the Office of Research Administration’s Proposal Submission Policy and Timeline and include Maine WRRI Director David Hart as an approver in PARS. Proposals must be fully approved by ORA and have completed routing through PARS before being submitted to the Mitchell Center.
