What problem/s are you working to solve?
We are working to develop a framework for the responsible development of tidal power in Maine and beyond. This model includes strategies for effectively integrating scientific research in decision making and engaging communities and other stakeholders in research and decision making about tidal power development.

What progress are you making toward solutions?
We have a better understanding of community and stakeholder concerns about tidal power, and we are integrating what we have learned from stakeholders throughout our research.

How could your findings contribute to a more sustainable future in Maine and beyond?
Our findings suggest that including stakeholders in research needed for decision making related to sustainable development can be extremely valuable, but at the same time can be quite challenging.
