Communications Assistant

The Senator George J. Mitchell Center is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a position as a Communications Assistant. This is a part-time (20-hr/week) temporary hourly position that will serve to facilitate the communications activities of the Mitchell Center. This temporary position is anticipated to last 6 months and pays $15 to $20/hour commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):

  • Assist with supplemental writing/editing assignments
  • Design, edit, and distribute the Mitchell Center’s e-newsletter
  • Provide on-going updates and maintenance for the Mitchell Center website
  • Post events, news, and other relevant items to the Mitchell Center’s Facebook page
  • Assist with event marketing to internal and external constituents
