Jianguo (Jingle) Wu is the Dean’s Distinguished Professor of Landscape Ecology and
Sustainability Science at the School of Life Sciences & Global Institute of Sustainability,
Arizona State University. Wu earned his B.S. in biology from Inner Mongolia University
and M.S. and Ph.D. in ecology from Miami University. A National Science Foundation
(NSF) postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University and Princeton University, Wu has authored
12 books and more than 220 journal articles and book chapters in the areas of landscape
ecology, biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, urban ecology, and sustainability science.
He is a co-PI and Leadership Team member for the Central Arizona-Phoenix Long-
Term Ecological Research project (CAP-LTER) and a founding faculty member of Global
Institute of Sustainability (2004) and School of Sustainability at Arizona State University.
