- Applications of Artificial Muscles to Medical Problems
- Companion Robots to Help the Disabled and Wheel-Chaired People, Paraplegics, Qudriplegics, Elderly, as well as Helping Soldiers In Unstructured Environments and Battle Fields

The Biomedical Engineering Laboratory is also closely affiliated with :

In this laboratory we are also designing and developing Ionic Polymeric Metal Composites (IPMCs) and Ionic Polymeric Conductor Nano-Composites (IPMNCs and IPCNCs)
