Statistics Lecturer (one year)

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Maine invites applications for a fixed-length, academic year appointment as Lecturer, effective September 1, 2014, with responsibility for teaching classes primarily in Statistics. This position is non-renewable. A Master’s degree in Statistics, or in Mathematics with a concentration in statistics or similar, is required by date of hire. Some preference will be given to candidates with a doctoral degree by date of hire, depending on the area of the doctorate.

Demonstrated effective teaching and excellent written and oral communication skills are required. The normal teaching load for this position is three courses per semester.
