Writing is just part of what we do. At the Maine Writing Project, we believe in research-based, teacher-developed, and student-tested approaches to learning in all content areas. We offer the popular and proven teachers-teaching-teachers model of professional development. And, we are committed to listening to local educators and meeting your distinct needs and interests.
Our experienced teacher-consultants offer in-service in various formats over a wide range of topics. From one-day workshops to full-year partnerships, MWP can support your growth in literacy across the curriculum, technology integration, writing improvement, authentic assessment, specific programs like Six Traits and RTI, and more. The Maine Writing Project is an approved provider through No Child Left Behind.
