Raise Your Voice summer writing program for high school students

The Maine Writing Project and Maine Public Broadcasting are offering a new opportunity this summer for young people who have ideas they want to share: Raise Your Voice Workshops are free, two-week, summer writing experiences for high school students.

This free program will take place from July 24 through August 4 at three separate locations:

  • University of Maine, Orono
  • Thomas College in Waterville
  • Baxter Academy for Science and Technology in Portland

Each day runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon with a mix of time to write, explore new ideas, and try out new writing techniques. A great team of MWP teacher-consultants will lead each camp. Join us and connect with other young people who enjoy writing and have their own ideas on how to make the world a better place!

Online Registration:
Young people entering grades 9-12 can apply to join this friendly, dynamic environment by completing the Raise Your Voice Workshops online application.
