Maine Business School Expedition
MBS Expedition is a unique student orientation program. This trip is designed to provide the incoming students in the UMaine Business School with the opportunity to meet other first year students within their major, explore the wilderness, go rafting on the west branch of the mighty Penobscot River, and to get a great college experience at the beginning of college. New students camp, eat, interact, and explore Maine with UMaine Business School’s faculty, and student trip leaders from the Maine Bound Adventure Center. This opportunity to interact with the Maine outdoors and UMaine community will leave you with lasting friendships, a memorable experience, and connections that will accelerate your sense of belonging to the Business School.
We will leave campus on Friday afternoon for our excursion into the Maine woods. Our base camp is the 60-acre Penobscot Outdoor Center, with its amazing views of Mt. Katahdin, great campsites with a group campfire ring, and outdoor volleyball courts. You will spend the main part of Saturday at an adventure activity of your choice, then return back to camp in the evening for group activities, games, and dinner. On Sunday we will go WW rafting on the Penobscot River before returning to campus.
