Blue Bikes Program

The Blue Bikes program is a FREE bike-share opportunity for our campus community!  Here’s how it works.

Abandoned bikes are repaired, painted blue, and signed out free of charge (with a bike lock) to anyone with a MaineCard.  They may be checked out for up to a semester.  If the bike is lost or stolen, a $100 fee is assessed to the responsible person’s account.  To check on Blue Bike availability or for more information on the program please call (207) 581-1794 or stop by Maine Bound during business hours.

We are now accepting Blue Bike applications for the summer semester.  Our summer rentals will start May 12th and need to be returned the week of August 11-15nd, 2014.  Please fill out the online application and you will be contacted about picking a bike up as soon as it is ready.
