Assignments - Assignment #2

Your name:

Date:

This assignment is designed to help you gain knowledge. There is no need to submit this assignment to anyone but yourself.  The information and contacts you find will likely be useful to you in your sheep operation.

Assignment: Each participant will identify abattoirs (slaughter houses) in their state or region that will perform religious slaughter.

Notes: A good place to start for this assignment is your state department of agriculture. These abattoirs may be categorized by USDA inspected, state inspected and custom operations. Check online through a search engine or call the department of agriculture in your state.

After locating  (or compiling) the list, date this document and file it for use. Become familiar with the abattoirs in your region (your county, state, and neighboring states).

If you need assistance or have questions about this assignment, please feel free to contact Dr. Richard Brzozowski at richard.brzozowski@maine.edu or 207.951.7155.
