Ariel Bothen

I am a 3rd year International Affairs and Anthropology student from Bar Harbor, Maine. I was lucky enough to be able to do Semester At Sea last spring and go to 12 different countries in one semester. It was an absolutely incredible experience that has made me fall in love with study abroad and if anyone ever has the opportunity to do such a thing, don’t pass it up! The fact that you get to live on a full service cruise ship for a semester is just the tip of the iceberg!

Lauren Aceto

I am a second year nursing student from Scarborough, Maine.I spent the fall 2012 semester studying abroad in Heredia, Costa Rica, and I wish I could still be there now. My time in Costa Rica turned out to be even more amazing than I had anticipated. I loved everything about the country, from the culture to the people to the geography. Now that I’ve started traveling, I never want to stop.

Phoebe Ray

I am a fourth year with a double major in communications and Spanish from Fryeburg, ME. Studying abroad in Spain completely changed my life and helped me become fluent in the language by immersing myself completely in the culture. It is an amazing experience any one can do, is just a matter of going through the process! I cannot wait to go back and the memories I have from not only Spain but traveling throughout Europe will be with me forever. It is an great opportunity to become cultured, and see the world.

Shona Workman

I am currently in my senior year at UMaine. I am a Secondary Education and French major with minors in Spanish and Psychology. I sincerely love traveling and my last experience studying abroad was in Santiago, Chile  in Spring 2012. I went with the program USAC. My love of travel and adventure has brought me to many different countries and I have had the pleasure of a great many experiences and opportunities so hopefully I can answer you questions or at least find someone who does.
