International Students - Housing & Dining

The University of Maine encourages all incoming international students to live in campus housing. We offer a variety of accommodation styles, fully integrated with local students. All residence halls offer wireless internet, and standard furniture. The following residence halls are continuous housing halls (open during university breaks and holidays) which are most suitable for international students:

  • First Year Residence Halls
    • Knox Hall – double rooms with shared bathrooms. The Global Crossroads Living/Learning Community is a great option for first-year international students
    • York Hall – double rooms with shared bathrooms
  • Stodder Hall – for students above 21, and for graduate students – shared double rooms, kitchenette on each floor

Living on-campus:

Your room will have a twin bed, desk and chair, and a bureau. Sheets, pillows, blankets and towels are not provided. Students must purchase their own bedding.
