Instructors - John Bell
John Bell has been a software developer, database administrator, and server operator in the information technology industry since he started building fund raising web sites for non-profit organizations almost two decades ago. In that time he has worked at every level from front-line technical support to application programming to architecture and user experience. Recently he has explored distributed application ecologies connected by loosely bound data exchanges.
His work has been featured in such diverse outlets as WIRED, the Chronicle of Higher Education, Harvard’s Berkman Center for Internet & Society, and the Open Source Business Resource journal. His classes often focus on integrating skills from disciplines like art, project design, programming, and electronics to provide new perspectives on creative production.
