Martin Luther King’s birthday will be celebrated on Monday, January 21, 2013.
Since classes are not in session on this day, all academic and administrative offices may close and all employees should receive time off. However, in units where continuous operation is required, schedules should be arranged to allow as many employees as possible to receive this holiday off.
Since this is a regular University holiday, all full-time regular classified employees who are required to work must be paid holiday pay for regularly scheduled hours at straight time plus straight time for all hours worked or compensatory time off in accordance with appropriate policies and contractual agreements.
