The Professional Employees Advisory Council (PEAC) seeks to raise the awareness of the campus community about the contributions that represented and non-represented professional employees make to the quality, diversity and overall mission of the University of Maine. The annual award is given to two professional employees whose actions and activities above and beyond normal work responsibilities have provided outstanding service to their fields, to UMaine, or to the community as a whole.
Selection will be based on the nominations that best reflect the following criteria:
Please take this opportunity to encourage nominations for exemplary individuals for a Professional Employee Achievement Award. The intent of the award is to raise awareness about the contribution professional employees make to the quality, diversity and overall mission of the University of Maine.
In recognition of the employees’ accomplishments and contributions, a cash stipend of $1000 is presented to each awardee. A professional employee must be nominated by another University employee.
