This website contains links to several teacher resources for the 2014 Maine National History Day. One important resource for instructors will be the National History Day Teacher Institute which will take place at the University of Maine in Orono from 9:00 am -2:30 pm, Thursday October 24, at the Wells Conference Center. This is a free professional development program for grade 6-12 teachers which will provide participants with a range of resources and information to support their students in creating entries for the National History Day (NHD) statewide contest at the University of Maine of April 12, 2014. Registered participants in the Institute will receive contact hours toward recertification.
Registration for National History Day begins on January 29,2014 and ends on March 28, 2014. All websites and papers need to be completed by March 28,2014.
