My emphasis in teaching is on history of modern Europe, with a specialty in modern Ireland (eighteenth to twentieth centuries). I offer a courses on Modern Ireland (HTY 454) and Nineteenth Century Europe, 1815-1914 (HTY 408). In addition, I teach the introductory European History sequence (HTY 105 and HTY 106) and the first half of the upper division History of England sequence (HTY 455). I also teach the Department’s Senior Seminar (HTY 498) on a regular rotation. At present I serve on the Department’s Undergraduate Committee and I am the faculty advisor for the undergraduate History Club.
