Description: This course examines U.S. foreign relations from World War I to the present. Students will be asked to develop a working knowledge of the key events and policies in U.S. diplomatic history and to analyze how and why U.S. international goals and strategies changed over time. We will consider they role of government “insiders” in formulating policy and examine the broader economic, cultural, and social factors shaping our interactions with other nations and societies.
