<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 0in;text-align: left;background: white" align="left"><span style="font-size: 9.5pt;font-family: Georgia;color: #222222">As the gardening season approaches, the Hancock County Master Gardener Volunteers are pleased to announce their Spring Perennial Plant Sale, <strong>Saturday, May 18 from 8am – 12pm, rain or shine</strong> at the UMaine Cooperative Extension Hancock County Office, 63 Boggy Brook Road, in Ellsworth. This year’s sale will feature many traditional varieties of perennial plants and, back by popular demand, a diverse selection of perennials native to Maine and New England. New this year:<span>  </span>planters of assorted herbs.<span>  </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 0in;text-align: left;background: white" align="left"><span style="font-size: 9.5pt;font-family: Georgia;color: #222222">The Plant Sale runs concurrently with the UMaine Cooperative Extension Open House.<span>  </span>Two scheduled talks include “Rain Gardens in Your Landscape” at 9:00 and “Native Plants for the Landscape” at 9:45. Learning stations on the subjects of composting and daylilies run throughout the morning.<span>  </span>Your gardening questions can be expertly answered at the “Ask a Master Gardener” table.<span>  </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 0in;text-align: left;background: white" align="left"><span style="font-size: 9.5pt;font-family: Georgia;color: #222222">Again this year, Seal Cove Farm Nannyberries<sup>tm</sup> compost will be bagged for sale.<span>  </span>Finally, there will be a raffle for a pick-up truck load of composted Nannyberries<sup>tm</sup> generously donated by Seal Cove Farm.</span></p>
