Because of reduced availability of H1N1 vaccine, the Nov. 9 and 10 UMaine clinic for students age 24 and under has been cancelled.
Instead, UMaine will offer a Nov. 5 and 6 clinic for those students — regardless of age — who are in a health-related high-risk category, as defined on the Maine Center for Disease Control website.
An updated version of the online registration form will be available sometime on Thursday Oct. 29.
A previously scheduled clinic for faculty and staff members in high-risk groups has also been cancelled.
An open forum on H1N1 virus, the vaccine and UMaine plans is scheduled for Tuesday Nov. 3 from 2-3 p.m. in Memorial Union’s Bangor Room. Representatives from Cutler Health Center, the Division of Student Affairs and the Dept. of Environmental Health and Safety, among others, will be present to address those with specific questions.
Direct communications to those students who registered for the Nov. 9 and 10 clinic are being prepared for delivery by email, most likely on Thursday Oct. 29.Posted in News
