UMaine has recently seen an increase in transgender students. To begin to address their needs, a folder on FirstClass has been established to discuss gender issues and can be added to your desktop by contacting Danielle M. Steele. Also, several gender-neutral bathrooms are located across campus. Finally, many of the events planned for Pride Week address transgender issues. As always GLBT Services staff are available to address any concerns or issues related to those of the GLBT community.
