First Week Advice

Please note: We strongly advise that you do not purchase your course materials until you attend your first class. The reason is that we are using three different textbooks in the introductory general chemistry courses. Your instructor will outline what you will need on the first day of class.

Access to textbook chapter 1: below are password protected files containing the first chapters of all general chemistry textbooks. The passwords are being distributed in syllabi (available on FirstClass) and/or instructor emails. The password protected chapters may also be found in some FirstClass folders.

Caveat Emptor: if you are set to purchase general chemistry materials before the start of the semester, we advise you to make absolutely certain that you will be taking the class. You may also not want to open the course materials before the first class. Please check return policies carefully if you think this may be an issue.
