Kristin Langellier: “Memere, Meme, and Me: Grandmothers Storytelling”

Memere, Meme, and Me: Grandmothers Storytelling

a presentation from

Kristin Langellier, UMaine Professor of Communications

Why do we tell memere stories and how do we tell them?  Come and hear some memere stories, how they “work,” and what they “do” in Franco American families and culture.  “Memere, Meme, and Me” is a multimedia talk about grandmothers storytelling. Kristin M. Langellier is a Midwest Franco who is a new memere.  She has studied and written about Franco American family storytelling in Maine.
