Kitchen Party at the Franco-American Centre
Come join the students of FAS 101: Introduction to Franco American Studies in an old-style kitchen party with fiddler Michele Roy, mandolinist Don Cunningham, and guitarist Will West. Cindy Larock, master folk dancer who specializes in traditional French Canadian step dancing (la gigue) and social dancing (contre danse, quadrille, etc.) will call, leading us in a selection of fun and easy contras and other jigs and reels rooted in the old-time kitchen parties of Quebec.
