Edna Bradeen, Singer and Collector

Edna Juliana Bradeen, born c. 1900, lived in Brownville Maine. She learned many of her songs from her mother, Maud Merrill Fredin, who was one of the oldest children in a family of twelve. According to Mrs. Bradeen, her aunt, Susan Merrill Lewis, brought Fannie Hardy Eckstorm up to Brownville to collect songs and tales from Bradeen’s mother.
