Northeast Archives Information

The Northeast Archives of Folklore and Oral History, formerly housed at the Maine Folklife Center, are now held by UMaine’s Fogler Library Special Collections. Special Collections staff can answer questions about access to and use of the archives, as well as the policies and steps required for donating materials to the collection. Fogler Special Collections are open during regular business hours, as well as some evenings and Saturdays. Please note that the Northeast Archives are held in a separate Annex building; their use requires prior notification of Special Collections staff. More details on hours and access are available on the Special Collections website.
