Paper, titled “Everybody is a Doctor,” is a collection of folk remedies collected from fellow students, friends, family, and health food store owner Lydia Lauder; Evil Eye; unquiet grave (dreams); cures for: hiccups, colds, headaches, coughs, stomach aches, fevers, sore throats, bee stings, warts, arthritis, cramps, and many other ailments; paper provides symbol key for organizational relevance. 0892 Various, interviewed by Dave Milgram, for Folklore Course at Ricker College taught by Gifford Stevens, Houlton, Maine, spring 1975. Paper, titled “Peanuts: Fine Rhyme on One Line,” is a collection of dirty jokes collected from various sources mostly from Houlton College ages 11 to 28; includes one-line jokes, fake book titles, sayings, proverbs, superstitions, rhymes, songs, and military chants. Text: 20 pp. paper.

Paper is a collection of samples of graffiti at Ricker College; graffiti taken from dorms, bathroom stalls, locker rooms, and from a poster contest inside the dormitories; types of graffiti varied depending on location; graffiti ranges from gross and unintelligent, lengthy (TEP Fraternity), individualistic, and short and philosophical. 0894 Walter Sibley, interviewed by Jeff Sonn for Folklore Course at Ricker College taught by Gifford Stevens, Houlton, Maine, April 29, 1975, at Sibley’s cabin home in New Limerick, Maine. Paper titled “Collection of Folklore Songs.” Sibley talks about life as a railroad man; his singing and music; Jimmy Rodgers; playing music; Ralphie Lovely; his dog; traveling; his father working for the railroad; his musical inspiration coming from “Wilf Carter”; B & A Railroad; Paul Bunyon; sings various songs by: Jimmy Rodgers, Ralphie Lovely, Wilf Carter, and various unknown authors; yodeling. Sonn accidentally erased the recording, but transcribed the songs before doing so. Text: 51 pp. transcript, 2 pp. index.
