The Advisory Committee meets monthly at their county UMaine Extension office.
As an advisory committee member you will serve on the “board” of the Senior Companion Program. Members attend monthly meetings with UMaine Extension staff, provide guidance and direction on the program, and plan fund-raising and outreach events. Leadership positions are available.
Membership is open to anyone interested in elder care and support.

Volunteers meet quarterly and participate in event planning, training, outreach and program fundraising.
Attend all meetings; additional volunteer work can be taken on or is assigned on a volunteer basis
Volunteers can attend a monthly meeting prior to joining the Advisory Committee. Leadership positions are available. The meetings serve as a formal check in and support for volunteers and staff, and a chance for volunteers to develop a professional relationship with other committee members.
