Why did you choose to attend grad school at UMaine? Why did you choose EES?
I chose the EES program at UMaine for the location and the interdisciplinary research.

Briefly describe your research project.
My research explores the ecological implications of changing DOM concentrations in Maine lakes.

What has been your favorite class at UMaine so far? If you are new to UMaine, what classes are you looking forward to?
I am looking forward to taking paleoecology.

What has been your most rewarding research experience and why? If you are new to UMaine…
My research goals are to better understand the effects of changing lake water chemistry.

What advice do you have for prospective graduate students?
My advice to prospective graduate students is to find a topic you enjoy to research.
