Student Handbook - Appearance and Attitude

Clinical Education – Professionalism

As a University of Maine Athletic Training Student, you are representing first and foremost, yourself. But never forget the fact that you are also representing the Athletic Training Education Program, the University of Maine, and the profession of Athletic Training. Proper attire when working as an athletic training student (ATS) is important in order for you to be identified as a medical professional. You will be required to wear appropriate ATS attire at all times while in an athletic training observation or during a clinical education field experience. You will not be allowed to earn observation or clinical experience hours if you are not in compliance with the ATS professional dress code.
